Wow! What a location! Amazing Historic ruins and a wonderful sense of peace and tranquillity...
We will start the day with a quick introduction, of what to expect during the Workshop, all participants will also receive handouts. Emma Holt has full use of the Grounds and a room inside the main building.
Emma Holt, believes in a practical approach to her tuition, ensuring this Photography Workshop, is a perfect chance, to get to grips with your own Camera, either making that leap from automatic settings to manual mode, or improving your own photographic skills. Learn more about creative composition, texture, detail and light, whilst capturing the most stunning historic ruins!
There is an abundance of photographic opportunity, allow yourself to be creatively immersed in the wonderful historic ruins...
The group will pause for a break inside the main building, there will be complementary tea or coffee for each participant. This is also a chance to ask questions and go over any techniques you may have learned so far.
After a quick break, the group will then go back outside and continue practical photography. Every participant is encouraged to experiment, to engage with their surroundings and try something new!
During the Workshop, there will be ample time to ask any questions you may have, all workshops are incredibly informal and friendly with the emphasis on not only learning, but also enjoying the day! Places are strictly kept to a minimum, allowing for each individual to get the most out of the experience.

Excluded; Travel to/from Whalley Abbey. Any other refreshments you may require.
**Please wear suitable clothing and footwear (Walking boots/ ect), the weather can be unpredictable ,so come prepared. Each Student is responsible for their own safety, therefore we ask that you wear appropriate clothing at all times.
**There will be a little walking involved during this particular workshop. level; Easy.
**Although every effort has been made in regards to your safety during the Workshop. it is ultimately down to each individual to follow instruction, (staying to designated foot paths, wearing the appropriate footwear and informing the Instructor of any mobility issues you may have). We can not be held responsible of any injury as a result of your own actions. Please bear this in mind when you book on any Workshop.
When booking, please advise on your Camera/ Kit and level of photographic/ Camera knowledge you have.
A £25.00 deposit, is required on booking. Balances must be paid two weeks before the date of the Workshop.
Every effort is made, to ensure a Workshop goes ahead. If the Workshop has to be cancelled due to bad weather/ illness, an alternative date will be rescheduled or individuals may also use any balance paid towards an alternative Workshop or 1-2-1 Photography tuition.
